Dear reader,

A lot has been happening at GELITA in recent months. The company has fundamentally repositioned itself to become even more market-aligned. Offering customers tailor-made solutions that give them a decisive edge on the market – this is one of the most important goals that GELITA is pursuing. You can find out what added value this will bring for you in the cover story of this upto date issue and in our interview with Samy Jandali, who heads the new Performance Solutions business unit.


We also present concrete examples of strong market alignment: including for instance NOVOTEC® CL800 – an environmentally friendly additive for cooling lubricants that helps solve some of the problems previously encountered in metal and plastics processing. Or three new next-generation gelatins that make it possible to position fruit gums in a healthier way or to offer dietary supplements in this popular dosage form.

Finally, GELITA is also working on a non-animal collagen alternative for target groups who prefer a vegan or vegetarian diet. We will introduce you to the biotechnological laboratory newly set up for this purpose in Frankfurt am Main.
