At GELITA, many people are involved in a wide variety of areas. In each issue of upto date, we will introduce one of them. This time it’s Anna Picken’s turn; she is responsible for Research & Development and has been working for GELITA for over 6 years.

What is your job at GELITA?

I carry out application trials for innovations in Pet & Animal Food and Meat Applications in the laboratory of the Nutrition & Health business unit. I am also responsible for special laboratory analyses and collaborate on product developments.

How do you support GELITA customers?

With the help of our application trials, we find innovative solutions for pet food manufacturers to improve protein enrichment in their products or to achieve more binding in extrudates.

What do you particularly like about your work at GELITA?

During my training as a chemical laboratory technician at GELITA, I was able to build up a great wealth of expertise, which is proving invaluable to me in the advancement of many customer projects. These projects are very diverse, allowing me to learn new methods and ways of working and constantly further develop. In addition to the opportunity to contribute my own ideas, I especially appreciate the excellent collaboration in my team. We support each other to always find optimal solutions for our customers.
